Removing bell housing! Help

Ok so I took out all the small bolts on the bottom and all the big 14mm bolts I see there are two more bolts which are smaller and kinda inset in the bellhousing. One on each side 3/4 of the way up between a couple of the big 14mm. These bolt seem to be a redish color and indented farther.

Are they bolts that need to be removed or are they some kind of dolls?

I have no idea what bolts are you talking about. Only 6 (if I remember correctly) 14 mm bolts should be undone to pull bellhousing. Top bolts on mine were impossible to do without pushing on a dumper and wobble extension.

Edit: inspection plate should be removed of course

I just used a ujoint and got all the bolts easy. But there are two more on the sides which are indented in the housing. Are there dolls holding the housing on? I have all 6 14mms already.

These are probably replacements for dowel pins

once u get the six bolts out of the bellhousing, use a hammer or screw driver to seperate it fromt he block. I assume you took the actual transmission out first. It's a heck of a lot easier that way. There are 8 bolts holding the tranny to the bellhousing.

When that happens, you might need to clarify or add some more info to your post. Posting that no one replies is just going to make people think you are in a pi$$y mood, so why bother to help. People help if they want to. No one is obliged to. The easier you make it for people to help, the better for you.

A simple "TTT" for your first bump would have worked better than the "christ....." comment. When I see an attitude like that, I just ignore the posts. I suspect most people react the same way.... but hey, do it your way.

I don't respond too well to that kind of approach either. It takes a nice dinner and soft music to get me in the mood,
