rebuild question..

whats your opinion of kevlar in a "street" 4l60E? what are limiting factors for horsepower? i talked to a local guy about having a tranny built had a good song and dance but... i think hes a sales man and not a the guy doing the work or homework on what works.. but he said they use green kevlar. and that red clutches were a thing of the past.. now its green and black is top of the line. he takes two kits to make one and they do their own calibrating of the separator plate.

Kevlar is the worst lining to use on a 2-4 band. It's too hard, and burns up quicker than a stock band. Alto Red lining is FAR better, and will outlast anthing else out there.
