Question Rear end Question

I'm looking in to getting some Nittos in the spring and doing a gear swap.

I would like to put in 4.10 gears with a M-6 and Nittos, am I asking for trouble with the 4.10's?
I have 3.23's right now!
I was also thinking of a rear end cover with the end cap screws in it and I would have the stock axels.

Good, Bad or Ugly?

Re: Rear end Question

You shouldn't have any trouble at all running 4.10's with a M6.

Just make sure that you never hook up tight. Keep enough air in the Nittos so that they will spin and you'll be OK. If it hooks hard the torque of your motor will destroy any 10 bolt including your 3.23s.

Re: Rear end Question

It's not a yes or no kind of answer. A stock rear with sticky tires will probably not break the first time out. It may last for years. Or something in between. Very hard to predict what any given person's experience will be. But some of the variables are: how sticky are the tires, how sticky is the surface, how much hp you are putting through, and how it is driven.
