someone said there was a nice write up in a magazine here lately on gm rear ends. Can anyone point me in the right direction to pick this up to read?

There was a 2-part article in High Performance Pontiac. I've posted the link in response to questions on the "Drivetrain" forum. Do a "search" there. They spent $1,700 on the stock 10-bolt rear, and when they got all done, they siad it was only good for a 450HP A4 setup, but not recommended for a manual tranny application.

I'm assuming you are asking about the 3rd/4th Gen 10-bolt. You might want to add a "signature" with basic info about your car - year, model, engine, tranny and any major mods.

no it was something recent, and i can't remember where someone said a good tech article on rear ends i don't think it was only about 10 bolts. Even if it did, I wouldn't be real interested in the 10 bolt anyways, all I am going to do to mine is a set of gears until the winter time
