Questions about a Strange 12 Bolt for my 93 Z-28 4L-60 EX Duty Stroker buildup.
I am looking at buying the Strange 12 bolt for my long term Street Buildup on the 93 Z-28. I read in the new Strange Online catolog that their F-body 12 Bolt has 3" OD axle tubes. I had read in Injuneer's install some years ago about his Strange 12 bolt having axle tubes at 2.625" OD, same as the orginial 10 bolt size.. Whats the deal. Mosser has 3"OD and takes special brackets for the rear sway bar mount. Does the new Strange 12 bolt need that now too? Any info would really help. On the install of a Strange 12 Bolt in my 93 F body, will the hard steel brake line from the orginial 10 bolt just come off and be installed on the new 12 bolt ? Thanks.

I don't know when Strange changed the axle tube diameter (I bought mine in 1998). I believe they now include welded on sway bar brackets.
The brake line is held on by small clips tacked to the axle housing, that bend over to hold the line. You can remove the entire braking system without opening anything up, or disconnecting any lines. At I recall, the brake line "tee" block that bolts to the top of the diff housing required some sort of spacer to fit correctly, but it was very minor.
