Question about Clutch.

Heres the story in a nutshell. I thrashed my stock clutch. When I replaced it with the Spec Stage II, i could see that the original had totally exploded sending parts through the bell housing like bullets . Anyway, got a new bell housing and the stage two spec installed, and everything was great.

Then I went to the drag races about 5 months after that, clutch was in great shape.
I only did a couple of little burnouts to clean of the tires for some of the drags, and that is all the slipping or anything of the clutch i can think of.
After about 7-10 drags over about 4 hours, I went home. I noticed the clutch felt different. Now when I want to put the car in reverse, it doesnt want to go very good. It's like it wont disengage all the way or something. I got the kevlar disk, and i though that could handle some very mild 'abuse' if you will.
My question is this. Will an adjustable master cylinder help this at all, or is my clutch screwed? If this part will help, where can I get one at the lowest cost?

Thanks Guys!

Re: Question about Clutch.

Here is what to do:

1-Pull the tranny out.

2- Find this- http://community.webshots.com/album/356140671QRXNyK

3- Call Spec. Tell them whats up. Send clutch in for them to inspect.

4- Call Spec and listen to them give excuses as to why it failed. Your bell housing wasnt in proper alligntment, possible worn motor mounts Bad pilot bearing? Bad tranny main bearing? They will then offer you a new clutch at 1/2 cost.

My car is still on jackstands and I still cant decide what to do. If I buy a spec again, it will be the unsprung hub stage 4. Spec sucks. I hate them

Edit: do a search. This has happened too many times to count. Spec sucks. Period.

Any more questions?

Re: Question about Clutch.

Sounds like im screwed from the sounds of all that. waste of money to get an adjustable master cyl im sure. i dont have the money for a new clutch, now im super happy. they acted like this clutch could handle some moderate use, yeah friggin right. Im pissed now.
