question on 4L60E problems

I got my 95 camaro tuned about a year ago when I had my 3.73's put in and the dude set the transmission up to shift harder through the computer. It's been hitting 2nd gear pretty hard for a while and I've got nearly 100 passes on the car since then.

A few months ago at the track, I put the car in reverse and it wouldnt go anywhere, it was like someone blocked my wheels or something. It went forward just fine. After I went from drive to reverse a few times, it finally moved. I didnt have this problem again until last saturday when I heard a loud BOOM on the 1st - 2nd shift. But ever since then I've had a mild vibration going up through the drive train.

Now the car wont budge in reverse unless I rev it up a few times, then it slams into motion and whines loud as hell. I have the same problem when I put the gear selecter in 1st gear, yet it drives fine if its in 2nd or 3rd. It will still pull in overdrive, but it makes a loud whining noise just like it does in first and reverse, but only at highway speeds.

Any idea what kind of failure caused this? I've blown a ****load of TH-350's in the past and thought I've experienced every type of transmission failure there was, but this one is new to me.
