Put in higher stall with rebuild tranie, shifts changed

OK I had my tranie rebuild again same as before, It lasted two years that's pretty good. This time I changed the converter to a higher stall , 26/28 to 3000.
3.73 gears, very rough cam. the tranie shifts like it did before, firm between 1-2, but the 2-3 changed to harder firmer shifts this time, and when the converter locks up, you really feel it and makes a bump noise. the converter is set to lock at 55mph which is still below the stall and this is what I think is causing the hard shift and firm lockups, am I right about this or is something wrong some where else. Any ideas.........

The addition of the stall and cam and gears will change the way the trans functions completely, You likely are going to need some tuning and of course the shift kit could be set up a bit different than before possibly
