proshifted t-56

Is anyone running a proshifted t-56 and who assembled it? What are your opininons on it and would you recommend it. The car is only driven a few days a month and then at the track. So street manners are not that big of a deal.

Re: proshifted t-56

Are you talking about the pro shift kit thing? I haven't seen or heard about anyone running it, but from what I've read it seems like a fairly wise investment, even for a car that's driven almost every day. Longevity would be the only thing I'd worry about, and if you're only driving it on the weekends and stuff you won't be putting that many miles on it anyway. I'd say go for it if you've got the money to spend on it. It would certainly be nice to hear someone's opinion on it on this board.

Could you be more specific? I'd like to know what you are doing to the tranny and why. It isn't clear from the posts.

95Formula from Louisiana has one in his T56 I believe. He is running mid 10s, all motor on a 355 with LT4 castings, 456 rear gears in a 9 inch.

Re: proshifted t-56

Here's a site that does it specifically for T-56s for some technical info:

http://www.tennesseeauto.com/proshiftkit.html

It sounds like a good idea to me, although as some people have said it may be a little harsh for those that prefer a more pleasant riding experience. It wouldn't bother me, my car is already a pita on the street.
