Problems with moser 9" and a lowered camaro.

My 92 camaro is lowered with suspension techniques springs lowered about
2"1/4 all the way around. I have installed my moser 9" and spohn adj torque arm and everything seemed fine until I try'd to install my gas tank. There is about an inch of clearance between the pumpkin and the gas tank. If there is any compression on the suspension the pumpkin will compress into the gas tank. Is this the norm? Has anybody ran across this problem? Any idea's on a solution would be appreciated, i don't really want to start hacking on my body if I don't need to.

Did you completely bottom out the suspension when you notched out the tank? Also how about the torque arm? any issues with that?

TA needed clearance on the left side of the tunnel and on the back side.
I put 3" snubber on the shocks to limit it's travel.

The drivers side had no heat shield . Ya also have to cut the cross bar that runs across the back of the back seat area.
