piolet bearing

hey guys. its dumb to ask however if put in incorrectly. the bearing can seize.. what is the right way to put it in. so you can see the bearing when looking at it? the splines of the bearing? or so you see only the metal. i believe it only makes sense to how the main part of the bearing showing..

here is the way i think you should be able to see it when its in the engine...

is this correct?

Re: piolet bearing

I just bought a roller pilot bushing/bearing yesterday and I was curious of the same thing. Per the directions the flat surface where the bearings are should be towards the crank and the smoothed rounded surface towards the trans to accept the shaft. Hopefully I'm not too late.
