Problems

well the other day

I was pulling down my street doing about 15 when I rounded the corner in drive, then all of a sudden it sounded like the tall pipe drop, so I slow creap it down the street and It sounded just like the muffler draging the ground, but when I pullled up into the driveway I looked under the car, and the muffler was just fine, so I started the car agian, No sound. so I shifted in two drive but it didnt go into gear till after 5 secouds after I move the shifter down to drive, and it went into gear super hard almost jerked my hat off, then it started that draggin noise agian, so I put it back in park and the sound went away, then I got out looked under the car and no transmission fluid was leaking, then I started it agian and put it into drive, once agian It shifted super hard and made the muffle dragging noise.

ohh and it is a 1986 Iroc z with a 305 TPI and a 700R4 trans

Re: Problems

It sounds to me like you'll want to take it to a transmission shop ASAP. Let them check it out before whatever is going out takes everything else with it.

Re: Problems

The pump could be going bad or the torque converter has trash in it.
