Pressure Plate Balance ?

The pressure plate I bought from Kentucky Clutch (local shop) I noticed doesn't have the holes drilled in the weights to balance it. Like I have seen in other clutches I have used and installed for others. What would you do install or take it back and ask him whats up?

The pressure plate has 3 weights. Two of the weights have holes drilled in them on the old P.P. and no holes drilled on the new P.P. I have heard of people on here having vibration problems with these type P.P. The shop said they were Valeo P.P. I don't think they are.

Re: Pressure Plate Balance ?

I know this thread is old, but I would like to know what you ended up doing with your clutch kit.

Did you install it?
Did it vibrate at certain RPM?

I am looking for a bolt on clutch for my M6 car and would not like to have vibration issues. Is there one brand whose pressure plates are balanced?

Re: Pressure Plate Balance ?

A quality kit should be neutral balanced for you to begin with..there are multiple clutch recommendations depending on the end application.
