Powertrax No-Slip Traction System
Anyone here try this.
I understand it really beefs up the strength of the rear-end.
Get locker-equiped traction with limited slip smoothness!
The Powertrax No-Slip Traction Systems are the latest design in traction-adding differential technology. They combine the smooth operation of a limited-slip differential with the traction performance of a locking differential. A precise synchronization mechanism eliminates the ratcheting sounds typical of other locking differentials. Special gear and spring designs reduce the backlash, and, therefore, the driveline windup. Only ultra-strength material that is 67 percent stronger than titanium is used. Installation is simple because no ring and pinion setup is required. In addition, no special tools or oils are needed. Step-by-step, model-specific instructions are provided with every kit.

Re: Powertrax No-Slip Traction System
Update, Well so nice of everybody to reply with their opinions.
As it turns out "Powertrax" does not make a unit for my 1992
Z-28. Powertrax has one for every other year but mine...
So, I just saved myself $400... Good Deal.
I guess, I'll just go with the "Detroit Locker"

Re: Powertrax No-Slip Traction System
I tried the powertrax in my TR7 conversion. Initially the 10 bolt chevy rearend was behind a beefed up 305 and T5 transmission. I liked the way it worked. It wasn't to noisy, and it did perform as I expected. However, when I transplanted a cam and heads LT1 and T56 combination into my TR7, the powertrax couldn't hold up to the power. The teeth rounded where the engagement action occurs, and I was getting a loud clunk as the teeth tried to seat with one another. I believe the documents for the powertrax indicate that it is fine for stock applications and stock replacement. In my case, it just didn't hold up. Even though I didn't have many miles on the powertrax, the time of warranty had expired, so they didn't want to send a replacement. I am now looking for another solution to my no-slip or limited slip needs. I hope this helps.

Re: Powertrax No-Slip Traction System
I have been happy with the Eaton posi, but my car is a street car that goes to the track and my priorities are good manners in fast street driving. Nonetheless, I get consistent low 1.5's in the 60' at the track and it launches straight and hard.
