Possible stock shifter for turbo 400 swap?

I'm trying to keep my car looking stock. Is it possible to use the stock shifter from my car since it is cable to use on turbo 400.

Yes, it is possible. That's the way mine is setup until I could save some money for the Turbo Action Cheetah Sifter.

Thanks Jody, thats what I needed to know. Did you have to do any modifications where the cable connects to the trans at the shift bracket?

I used the stock shifter for a while also. The cable linkage will bolt up to the tranny shaft fine its just the trans pan hole spacing (where the cable bracket bolts to) is different. You just have to make something that will bolt up to the 400 spacing and keep the cable in the right place.
