Is a Poly transmission mount necessary?

Is a Poly mount necessary when the torque arm has been relocated from the tailshaft to the tunnel mount? I have the spohn torque arm for longtubes and the tunnel mount.

Looking at the set up, the torque arm is no longer pulling up on the tailshaft, which should relieve a big part of the strain.

I ask because there is a thread going around right now about poly mounts possibly being the incorrect height. https://www.camaroz28.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=610106
I decided to crawl under mine and take a look. I thought I had a pro thane but it is an Energy Suspension mount. It has the numbers molded into the bushing "1036". I looked closer and my driveshaft is not in the center of the driveshaft loop. It wasn't so obvious when I had the stock driveshaft in but I now have a Strange 3" Chromoly shaft and the fact that I took a closer look.

I thought maybe I set the pinion incorrect but after triple checking it, it's correct. The trans mount has a small shim plate installed under the transmission. This is the way it came from ES.

I am just poking around to see what opinions are and if maybe someone could post the height of a stock bushing, 1LE, etc. My stock one was replaced twice for ripping it apart so I don't know what the height was. I guess you could say it was adjustable

Shoebox has a photo showing the comparative height of the stock, 1LE and ES mounts:

One feature of the ES mount is that the internal upper and lower metal parts are "interlocked" (while still separated by poly), so that even if the poly portion of the mount breaks, the trans can not lift completely off the cross-member. I've had the same ES mount for more than 12 years, under a T56, then the TH400 and now under the TH400+Gear Vendors and its never presented a problem of any kind.
