Poly trans. monut
Is it normal to feel a lot more vibration once installing the poly trans mount? And since it was installed i feel more of a vibration near the trans around 2500 rpm.

then be very cautious, because the OEM rubber motor mounts allow the
engine to flex; however, the urethane tranny mount will not flex and
there is a possibility that the tailshaft housing will crack. I've read
where this has happened to folks when changing ONLY the tranny
mount to urethane (and not doing the engine mounts at the same time).
ya its the mount. I had one and took it out after a week. This dam car has enough vibs, rattles, etc.
Personally i hate poly bushings and think rubber ones will do almost as good of a job. Plus they actually flex, which is needed.

There are many people running poly tranny mounts, without switching to poly motor mounts. I have not seen much in the way of tranny tailshaft housings cracking. I've had the same ES poly mount behind my 800HP nitrous motor, with stock motor mounts for 8 years..... no cracks in the tailshaft housing. If it was a real problem, I think there would have been numerous reports of failures, given the fact that there are probably thousands of people on this site alone who have used a poly tranny mount with the stock motor mounts.
urethane mounts are MUCH larger than the OEM rubber - the poly's
fit the complete interior of the clamshell casing (the OEM rubber does not).
