Please Help A.s.a.p. Rearend Questions

I need to know right away if at all possible.
We are putting a 1994 ta rearend in a 2000 z28. For the abs to work we are going to have to change out the axles. Do they have the same number of splines? What about the 2000 rearend is a 2 series and the 1994 ta is a 3 series will that make any difference. Has anyone ever done this before? Please help a.s.a.p.
THanks
in advance

First off, I'm assuming you're putting 3.42's from a '94 into your '00 in place of 2.73's?

In terms of the difference between 2 series and 3 series gears, I hope you realise that the GEARS won't swap between those two rear ends, but all you have to do is swap out the whole rear end and install the other complete rear end (hopefully you knew that already and that's what your plan was ).

Due to the differences in the ABS / traction control setup, you CAN change the axles. My friend did a similar swap in his '96 T/A, except he used a differential from a '99 or '00. The splines on the axles are the same though, so they will interchange. Also, I think there's a plate on either end of the axle tubes that needs to be changed to mount the different style brakes, but whatever needs to be done is entirely possible because I know my friend did the same type of swap successfully on his car.

Good luck, and enjoy your new gears!
