Lightbulb Pinion Yoke Alignment Question!

I am getting ready to replace my pinion yoke with a new one due to breaking a bolt on my old one while replacing the u joint. My question is this...Is there any way to mark my old nut and the pinion threads in order to get the pre load back to where it should be? In other words, i wont have the old pinion yoke but i will be reusing the old nut and pinion shaft...Anyone know if this is doable or not? Much appreciated....

Re: Pinion Yoke Alignment Question!

It has been several years since I replaced my pinon yoke with a 1350. I did mark the thread & nut and orientation of yoke and counted the turns of the pinon nut and replaced using the same amount of turns and the marks lined up
