Pinion Seal Leak

If I hav a pinion seal leak, and it has been leaking for a long time, to the point that there was no gear lube in the diff, should I change the gear and all bearings and seals? I would appreciate any input on this subject.

put oil in it and drive it. if you don't hear any funny noises, fix the seal and keep driving. funny noises = new parts.
