Pilot BEARING vs pilot BUSHING

I am having the pilot bushing replaced on Wensday. I believe it is the cause of my vibration and noise issue that has been plaging the car for a while now.

My question is, should I use a bearing or a bushing? I am reading some contradicting recommendations on the forum.

Please post your experiences and recommendations with explanation. I really can't afford this repair as it is, so I dont want to find out later that I need to have the shop take it apart again.

Thanks all,
