pics of my clutch
My "custom" clutch came in the mail today. "Custom" being a cooler way of saying "no name brand". The disc is a sprung hub with 6 miba pucks. The disc appears to use the same clutchnet design to protect the springs (who knows.. maybe it is a rebranded clutchnet EZ lock 6 puck disc??). The pressure plate appears to be the standard LT4 PP that every LT1 clutch maker uses, in this case, painted pee-yellow
The kit included the throwout bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool and cost me $360.
Im going to be installing it over the next two wks with my fidanza AL flywheel and report back on how it performs on the spray. Wish me luck, gentleman.

Re: pics of my clutch
Well, I finally got 400 miles of break-in on the clutch. It was tough not hammering it (that much, anyways) during this period, but here are my thoughts on it so far. The clutch will chatter if you attempt to slip it like the stock clutch. I find that I need to give it a quick rev, then engage it more quickly to leave the line smoothly. With the fidanza flywheel, the car revs up much more quickly and rev matching downshifts are a piece of cake now.
As for power holding, I havent subjected the car to any launches on my MT et dr's (yet), but I have gone through 4 passes on a 125 and it was perfectly fine. So far, I think this clutch is a performance bargain compared to things like the spec, centerforce, etc. I'll report in again after I get some more miles on it.

Is that one of those eBay clutches, EZ Clutch? If so I have one of those with my current setup and it slips like a bitch when I grab 2nd on street tires on the street. VERY Disapointed!
Re: pics of my clutch
Yes, it was the EZ clutch. What kind of power are you running? Did you do a proper break-in? I was skeptical at first, but hasnt slipped yet with approx 500 rwtq on the spray. I'll let you know if that changes once the dr's go on.

Now this is a custom clutch from a local clutch shop. It was built to engage smooth as silk and bite like a rabid pit bull. This bad boy does not slip period with 301RWHP and 4.10's.
Its a dual friction with 100% Kevlar and tried and true composite asbestos.
It has the real Tribco Kevlar and not the composite BS like in the Spec and other performance disks.

It was almost too pretty to install. I am also using a drilled SLP pressure plate.
