Frank, I am wondering why the transmission has not been picked up yet. Its been about 2 weeks since it was supposed to be picked up not to mention appx 3 months and 2 transmissions later i havent had a working one in the car. I am getting very tired of this. When is this getting dealt with and when i am I getting my money back? You know where to reach me if you dont want this discussed publicly and you have the address of the shop where the trans is because i sent it to you twice already. I need this dealt with asap, i need this money to get my car on the raod.

Goeff,
Sorry to hear about your bad luck with Performabuilt. What exactly has happened to the 2 you got from them that didn't work?
It's only a simple 700R4, right. Maybe this is something we can help you with after you get your money back from Performabuilt?

Geoff, Frank has been really busy there have been some problems at the shop and he is working in the shop trying to iron out the issue which have been completed. All transmissions are now being tested before they leave the shop there have been some builder issues that have been rectified I am very sorry that you are having to deal with this I will speak with Frank tonight and make him aware of this. Honestly with all that has been going on it has probably slipped his mind he has been working close to 19 hours a day sometimes I talk to him at around 2 am and he has just got out the shop where he is trying to improve quality control

We have tried to have picked up but there aparenty was some paper work that had to be done for customs I assume on that end. We did send two units and its the concenous that nether have reverse but work other wise, Which is odd to say the least since they were built at two different times by two different people. And reverse is not something you see have a problem, We cannot as of yet verify anything since we have not received the first unit back . He does have a 3000 stall I beleave which I know will feel like its slipping in reverse particularly due to the higher ratio than you get in first, But determining any issue with reverse should be very easy. The first thing that will be done with the first unit when it is received is it will be placed in our new test vehicle right out of the box. Then torn down. to see what the deal is. A no reverse on a new unit by anyone let alone two units to the same person is very very odd which I have explained to this gentleman. After all as mentioned above these are quite simple transmissions and the reverse circuit is really simple so its very odd. But we will get to the bottom of it anyway.

Frank,
I've spoke to this customer on the phone. He called to ask me if there was anything HE could've done wrong on the installation. Now, this is a pretty simple 700R4, so I'm sure we all would like to know what you think the customer could have done wrong on the installation?
I asked the obvious question. Did you unhook your external linkage and physically put the transmission in the reverse position. He assured me that with the aid of his auto shop teacher, he did so. It still had no reverse.
This poor guy has been without his car for 4 months. We all make mistakes. It's usually how you handle those mistakes that project what kind of person/buisness you are. Geoff never posted anything negative when the first transmission you sent him turned out to be bad. He waited 4 months of going through alot of crap before he finally had to post something. It's time for you to make good on your mistake. The guy wants his money back, and at this point, I think he deserves it.

We are working toward that end but like you would we need to get our unit back, We did not know about the declaration stuff when we previously ask fedex to pick the unit up , Now he has filled that out and it should be there when fedex comes buy today. International shipping has its issues everything requires extra paper work and fedex nor ups are particulary good at telling you everything you need to know and every country is different to that you deal with. We will take care of him we are not going to leave him hanging , In fact I was not aware fedex had not picked the unit up until his post as I had told the guys in shipping to keep and eye out for it and notify me.
He will be taken care of But obviously I do want to know what happened so I can figure out exactly why he got two units with no reverse and how that could happen. In fact I will as of next week be personally working at the shop in hazleton indefinatley to make sure things like this do hot happen again. Im sure if such and odd thing had happened with your units you would want them back to find out how to because to me its very destressing and I want answers as does my boss.
