Car wouldn't shift into 1st, 3rd, or reverse. When I first found the problem I was going about 20 already shifting into 3rd gear. The gear just grinded so I had to skip to 4th. Then at a stop sign I tried to take off in 1st but the gears just grinded again so I had to take off from second. It happened all of a sudden. But then all of a sudden about 15 minutes later the gears started working again. What could this have been? (after research i think it might be shifter linkage) if it is where can I find it online? Thanks!

 

Thanks for ur replies everyone lol. I found the problem!!! the 5.0 shifter that I have has stop bolts. I guess my car vibrated so much that the top bolt near the radio pulled itself out, stopping my shifter. I tightened it back in and were good to go!!! Glad it wasn't transmission or anything
