New torque converter sounds like a bucket of rocks and car don't move
Thanks.
The shifter lever on the trans is very firm and clicks good and hard between the gears.
Being that I can not feel the car going into gear while it is running leads me to think the TC is bad. I am getting no coupling effect at all.
As for the cooler line, when I did that, the fluid shot out like a water hose at wide open. I do not have a pressure gauge to check it. I am going to put the stock TC back in and see what happens. I think I can do it in a couple of hours now. At least that will tell me if it's the TC is bad or something else is damaged.

Did you get this solved? I just had the trans rebuilt in my Dodge Ram and put in a new TC. Did everything correct and I have the rocks in a bucket sound. The truck runs great, just an annoying sound.

Not really. I swapped in a T56 and had the TC rebuilt just so I could sell it. They said it looked fine inside though. The auto trans pan had alot of clutch dust in it. No metal at all, just dust.
