If you've never done gears before, don't try it.

I concur!!!!! Setting up a rear is not something you want to do unless you are experienced in doing so. I have seen articles in hot rod and magazines like that, but doing it in the real world is difficult at best. Pay a professional or someone who has done the work before. If you have the tools and the knowledge/experience, then it is doable.

Do realize those with knowledge and experiance were not just born with it.
They had to start somewhere as well and if they were too scared to try it the first time they would not have the knowledge or experiance they have..... point being yes it is a wee bit intimidating to set up a rear end.
do some reaserch buy a dial indicator and a magnetic base and find a friend that might know a thing or two and tackle it yourself you will save a good 200 by doing the install yourself which is more than enough motivation for me.
the only thing that sucks is the smell lol
and get decent white or yellow marking compound so you can read the pattern with ease

Ha yea seriously did the professionals just concieve the knowledge from thin air? Do some research and take a weekend and do it.. As long as you have the dial indicator gears and the rebuild kit ur good
