New gear

Im looking at changing the gears in my 2000 ss automatic camaro, I have around 400 hp. I don"t know witch gear to go too, 3.42, 3.73, or 410 witch are best for my car.

Re: New gear

3.42 is a good choice.

Re: New gear

Auto or stick? I went with 3.73 on my m6, I know most do 4.10 on the m6 (3.42 is stock for the m6 and 3.23 is stock for the A4 in most cases) and 3.73 on the autos. My reasoning behind not going 4.10 was that I read the the 4.10's were too hard on the stock diff if you get any type of traction whatsoever. Pretty happy with the 3.73's myself.

Edit: just re-read and see you are A4

If you already have a 3.23, a change to 3.42 doesnt make much sense.
