Need a little clutch help!
Well I just replaced my old clutch setup with a new OEM one, i.e. resurfaced flywheel along with a new clutch kit. Everything went back together very smooth which surprised me because this was my 1st time doing a clutch swap. But just after the initial start-up I went to put the car in gear and as I pushed the clutch pedal in all the way I heard a very nasty grinding noise. So I let off and proceeded to just lightly push the pedal in and slip into 1st gear. That worked fine and I noticed as long as I don't push the clutch pedal all the way down I can go through the gears like butter, with no nasty grinding noise.
My question is why am I hearing this nasty grinding noise when my clutch pedal is pressed all the way in? What could it be hitting? F.Y.I. I am using light pedal pressure on the clutch to get it to engage and release. I barely press on the clutch to achieve the two. I need your help on this one guys, thx.
I forgot to mention the old setup was a mcleod twin disc clutch kit. Money is tight so I had to go OEM for now. I am reusing the mcleod master cylinder. So perhaps I may need to adjust the clutch...ya or na???
