I'm planning on installing a 700r4 tranny in my 69 Camaro. It has a 350 turbo trans now. What will need changed? Will this trans crossmember work? I have an aftermarket shifter that will work with the 4 speed already so i'm good there. Thanks for any info!!! Frank garbaczs@hotmail.com

 

the cross member will need to be modified and the driveshaft will need to be cut down and balanced.
Are you using a luckup converter?

 

Yeah i want to use lockup too. Whats the easiest way just run a manual lockup toggle switch? Or does someone sell something for this? How will the crossmember need to be modified?

 

the mount is back a little bit. They make a kit so you can hook up the lock-up the right way...I know they have it in summit

I make most trans mounts out of roll bar....you may be able to just cut the mounting tab off the stock one and reweld it, Thats a simple fix either way
