Need help URGENT
I just put in a rear end out of a 96 SS (its the $1,000 torsen rear option or whatever) with 29k miles. It has red line oil, a cover, LCA reloacation brackets and when I got it. I trust the guy because I know him and when I rotated an axle the other one went in the same direction and felt ok and the yoak turned. Now the rear is hooked up to the drriveshaft and with the car up and I turned one axle and the other goes in the opisite direction. In park the axles still move in either direction and I am affraid that when I pull the car out and put it in the driveway it will just roll back. Is all this normal? When it was out of the car everything was normal and the yoak turned. Normal or is something broken?
Re: Need help URGENT
It's ok for the wheels to turn opposite directions from each other, even in park, just as long as you can't turn them both the same way at the same time?
Don't worry, your car won't roll away on you!
(unless you forgot to hook up the driveshaft?!

Re: Need help URGENT
Well, a few people on here have told me its normal but I am used to my LSD and this is acting like the rear in my old 86 with the 2.8 and a few local people are telling me its not right so I e-mailed an LT1 SS owner and would call SLP but they are closed for a while for the holidays.
I did pull it out in the snow and put it in the driveway and at first just the passenger tire spun, got off of it then back on and both spun...
