Need help 4L60E question

My question is I have a 97 Trans Am with the 4L60E trans and I believe the trans is going south and I have a trans in my garage which is a 30,000 mile trans out of a 94 Trans Am can anybody tell me if I'm going to have any problems interchanging the two or are they 100% the same?

I was told something about the pump being different or something...

Yes, the 97 trans is a PWM trans and the 94 one isn't. I know Andrew Mattei, the "cable guy" ran an OBDII PCM on his 94 without any problems, so it should work.
