How hard to replace a driveshaft???
Well since my car has a steel driveshaft i was thinking of swapping in an aluminum drive shaft and probably a shaft loop too since i will have it off...anyway, how hard is this to do?
Four 11mm bolts. Just place a jack underneath the rear-end and jack the car up. First, remove 2 bolts, then switch it in neutral, turn the wheels a little bit, and remove the other two. Then you might need to use a bigger screwdriver or something similar to pry against the yoke to push out the u-joint.
Make sure your your car can't move (wheels blocked) before removing the driveshaft. It's helpful to have the rear wheels off the ground, so you can turn the pinion (that way you can rotate the driveshaft and get to all the nuts). Block the front wheels. Put it in gear or park when you need to keep the driveshaft still, neutral when you want to turn it.
