Narrowing a 9in

I started to place my order today for a Moser 9in rear but I'm stuck trying to make one decision. How much to narrow? I've had several people say narrowing 2 inches will allow a 28in tire to sit inside the fender. Would anyone know if this is 2in on each side or 2in end-to-end? Would I want to go to 2.5in?

Take a look at THESE pics of my car and you can see that my wheels (15x10 Centerline Telstars) already stick out about 1-1.5in with the stock width. I've already had trouble with the edge of the fender cutting my tires up so I'd like the width to be corrected on the 9in. I believe the wheels have a 5in backspacing.

Re: Narrowing a 9in

Took the car to Frank @ BMR and let them make the call. We're going 1in on each side.

Never can say enough good things about those guys. Frank spent a good half an hour just looking and measuring to be sure I would be happy with how the new 9in sits under the car. Next week I'll be installing and posting pics.
