my rear end...

So I finally got the torque converter installed and the guy who did it for me drove it around and told me that one of the bearings in the rear end is going out. Since it makes a whiny noise and sounds like my boyfriends jeep on 37" boggers.. if anyone knows what those sound like.. but my question is, is it worth it to replace it? since i think i can get this done under warranty. but since I'm going to be getting a head/cam sometime soon anyway, should I just go buy a 12 bolt? Do people buy old 10-bolts? should I even try to fix it and sell it? thanks
