My poor baby is broken, help me...

i was dring down the road yesterday and all of the the sudden my engine looses power... and i hear this whiseling sound that is comming from the tranny. at first i thought the guys that did my oil change added some tranny fluid and it was slipping.. but the level was fine. my car wont accel unless my engine is pushing at 3000 rpm... first gear doesnt make the sound and works normal, 2nd and 3rd are all messed up. One mechanic said it was a computer problem, another a tranny problem, a linkage problem, and the last one said it was because my bushing on my front right lower control arm need done. my linkage is funny. always has been.. when its in park i can still push the car so i always use the emergancy break... i dont know the engine specs or nothing just wondering if anyone has ever had this problem and what they did to fix it.. thanks

You may not know lots of details, but you didn't even tell us what kind of car you have....

Sounds like the tranny is F'ed though. Try to get the linkage adjusted (since it's obiously not right) and see if that helps, but plan on paying for a rebuild.....

First you should check the tranny lines, then check all the vacum lines to the transmission. If that is not it then do the linkage. Hope this helps.
