MPH doesnt add up

that sucks... i gained about .35 tenths and 2mph going from 2.73 to 3.73

Yeah, I was just too cheap (a.k.a. broke ) at the time to buy DR's or E/T Streets, so my traction suffered really bad off the line. Also, the gears whined really bad, so I just took the gears back replaced the factory 2.73's at the time. I've currently got another rear end that I'm going to put in the car this summer, and I'm going to invest in TIRES this year as well.

Just FWIW, my car ran the exact same time and speed as listed in my sig even with 3.73's, as compared to with 2.73's............so if you're running .2 seconds faster than me, 108 - 109 mph sounds more realistic than ~117 anyways.
I know i am not doing 117. I dont think it is the MSD.I have a 5700 chip in it. I will test it out to make sure it is right. I think it is just the stock converter is slipping on the juice.

your car may also have a speed limiter that came on non high speed tire equipped fbodys that shuts down your car like a rev limiter at 109 mine has that on it but you can get it programmed out just a thought

when i hooked up my car to datamaster it showed in 3rd gear at 5600 i was only going 107mph and on the calculator i should be at 115... datamaster is probably the most accurate so i dont no what my problem is....converter slip?
