Motor is done, now what rear end?
Hey guys, finally got my motor going, broken in and now looking for a tune. I want to change the rear end before it goes (127K miles). I've searched and read but don't really know what to get. Basically I am want to stay street. What rear combo will work well with my mods? I am not looking for a strip/track setup, just a nice reliable strong rearend that will give me plenty of years. I am on a slight budget so I am starting the build now. Any ideas would be great, thanks!
Sorry about that Fred, I fixed my sig.
M6, would like to keep ABS, not too familiar with TCS. At this point, I would like to minimize the down time and customizing. It has taken over a year to get where I am now (loooong story, I will post on LT1 Tech). I've read that the 10 bolt just doesn't hold up. I don't want to throw good money after bad but I also can't afford a $2500 rear end job. Is there a direct bolt up that is beefier and will take the HP that I should be making? I have a 3.42 and was looking at maybe a 3.73. The cam surge thru the school zone is horrible. What do you think?
