Talking Mcleod Street Twin longevity?

Just brought my clutch to TPIS in Chasks, MN to have them balance it to get rid of my horrible 4k on up engine vibration, and Clay told me that longevity will be an issue.

Anyone wanna comment on this? Ill be driving this thing as a daily driver in the summer, with minimal 5K dropps on it, if any. I will take it to the track with its broken in just to see what it will do, but I doubt Ill be dumping it that high...

How long have you had yours in? Miles a season? What made you finally have to get it rebuilt?

Thanks!
Cody

Buddy of mine ran a Street Twin in his 750HP S/C'd 383 30th Anniversart SS for 3 years. When he decided to go to an automatic (and 1,000+ HP), I bought the Street Twin. I ran it for more than 2 years on my current engine, with no problems whatsoever. When I decided to go to the TH400, I sold it again, as part of an A4->M6 conversion package. The 3rd owner had no problems, other than matching the external balance flywheel up to his internal balance engine. After that got sorted out, it was still performing. But I lost track after that. 6 years in three reasonably high HP LT1's seems like a decent longevity.

WOW!

Yep, looks like it lasts a decent amount of time/miles. Great to know! Thanks again Injuneer. You always seem to come through for me.
