i redid the motor again and pulled the trans with it. i did not alter the transmission internals. I did pull off the bellhousing and check the input shaft, which is a simple task and requires no disassembly of the internals at all. i put everything back in and put it in the car. now it doesn't want to shift into reverse. i have to really shove it over to get past the 5th-6th gear gate and into the reverse gate. once there, i can push the shifter up into reverse seemingly okay. I'm not sure what i did or what happened. I used regular dex 3 ATF and the shifter was installed correctly. not sure what to do. i know bret bauer says he is having the same problem on an ls1 car. mine is an lt1 car. any thoughts?
