Wiring question around shifter area: 1995 LT1- M6 drivetrain.....

So I changed my trans/clutch today after being away from the car for a week. Upon re-assembly on the car, iI could not figure out why I had an unhooked harness under the center console that I can not seem to find a plug for.

The connector comes out of a strand of wires right next to the cigarette lighter harness. It has four wires going into it, and comes out of the stand of wires by itself (not with any other harnesses) and has about 8 inches of reach or so. It must connect to something close otherwise it won't reach.

I can't seem to find anything at all, and cannot remember if it was connected to anything when I disassambled it at first. Could this be related to the traction control?

The previous owner disconnected the traction control, I do know that.

Any ideas/help is appreciated.

Sorry if this post is confusing, but you guys know how problems can be a pain to explain clearly.

Just an update:

The four wires going into the connector are colored as follows:

purple/ white stripe
Brown
Black/white stripe
Brown or gray/white stripe

some people swear I'm a tad colorblind but hopefully these are accurate.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WITH LT-1 M6 CARS....

all you have to do to help me out is remove your shifter boot (not even all the way, you can leave the **** on) and look to the TOP LEFT area of the rubber that seals the shifter area and you should be able to find the connector......hopefully....

Hopefully one of you guys can help me out....
