M6 hard to get into 1st sometimes, Normal??

i have a 2002 ss with the m6. Sometimes when i come up to stoplights and stop, then try to put it in first i literally have to force it in to frist. Its not everytime but about 1 out of 5 times. I was just wondering if this normal or if someone knows what is causing this? The car has 9300 miles on it.

Thanks
Scott

Mine sometimes does that too, it's usually cause I'm pushing it too hard to the left I think. I just put it in 3rd then 4th and then it usually goes in 1st no problem.

If you make a complete stop like you legally should, going into 1st at 0 mph should be no problem at all

Try changing you tranny fluid to some Honda ATF or Mobil 1 ATF. It might not solve the problem but it won't hurt it either

i just pop it into 1st around 5mph as its rolling down to the stop light/sign.

these clutches are really light weight so its nothing. a real heavy clutch- act 2600 in a dsm (i was like when i felt how light the ws6 clutch was). its an on/off clutch and i'm kinda looking for one of those again (spec stage3 or 4)

I want to say that I remember reading in the owner's manual somwhere that it's normal and to just clutch it again... that's what I do
