m29 is the code on the inside of my glove box that is the good tranny right

Yup. It has the same 1st thru 5th ratios as the ZO6/GTO T56's but a .62 6th instead of .55.

M29 (2.97, 2.06, 1.43, 1, .8, .62)
94+ T56 (2.66, 1.78, 1.3, 1, .74, .5)

I am actually swapping in an M29 into my 95. With 3.42 rear it is like having the following rear ratios with the 94+ T56 (3.80, 3.96, 3.73, 3.42, 3.70, 4.24).

ok cool that is the code in the glove box how do i tell if i have it in the car (ie codes on the tranny)

From: Hell was full so they sent me to NJ
If its the original tranny, it should have a portion of the VIN stamped somewhere on the tranny.
