Re: M-6 Question

Could be a broken tranny mount, or could be the nut for the mount is just loose. Gonna have to get under there and take a look.

Re: M-6 Question

Mine did the same thing.... the tranny mount was shot... the rubber had cracks in it all the way around. Switched to an LS1 mount and it's solid and smooth.

Note... if you switch to the LS1 mount like i did, you'll have to do a little bit of grinding on the exhaust hanger bracket that stems from the rear of the trans. It's not very much, you grind just enough so the mount can sit flat on the mounting surface. Takes 5 minutes and the LS1 mount is almost as strong as the 1LE mount. When i went to order the 1LE mount from Jason Cromer, he told me the 1LE has been discontinued and replaced with the LS1 mount. It's basically the same thing so that's why GM did it.

Re: M-6 Question

Some may not agree, but I would recommend an Energy Suspension polyurethane mount. Available at an Autozone near you!

Say goodbye to any shifter movements with that mount.

I've also had the LS1 mount and did not have to grind anything.

Re: M-6 Question

hmmm.... don't know madwolf. i had to grind the bracket at the area above the bolt holes or the mount wouldn't sit flat on the trans surface. Wasn't much trouble to do at all. It was a GM mount i bought from Cromer with GM tags all over it. It's taken a beating over the last year and still solid. As long as it works i don't care
