You have to swap the caliper mounting brackets to bolt up your brakes on the LS1 diff, but otherwise, YES it will work. I have an LT1 rear in my LS1 car.

Re: lt1 rear brakes fit onto 98 + rears?

I had this setup for awhile and had a hell of a time getting the proper spacing. I had washers/wheel spacers all over the place trying to the the rotor centerd in the caliper. While it worked, it liked to eat the outside pads. Without any shims, the rotor was so misplaced that it wouldnt even allow the wheel to turn. 12 bolt ls1 rear with lt1 backing plates/calipers. Switched to ls1 backing plates and calipers no more issues.
