LT 1motor: swap from auto to M6 => balancing necessary?

Hello!

I read a lot about this swap and the Borg Warner M 6 is already in my garage. I'm confused about balancing.
My buddies told me balancing is not necessary, but in some articles I read it's necessary.
My engine/tranny combo is a 92' Corvette LT 1 with 4L60.
If balancing is necessary => How to do? I read something with pins which are installed in bores at the flexplate.

If you buy a flywheel already balanced for an LT1 it should be fine. M6 LT1's have a counterweighted flywheel, just as the flexplate does for an A4.

Yes the flywheel is from a 94'Camaro LT 1 from where the whole pieces are:
Flywheel, tranny, pedals, drive shaft etc.
