LS1 T56 conversion to LT1 T56 (trans, not car)

Anyone ever convert their LS1 T56 trans for use in a LT1 car?
My LT1 T56 is toast. $1500 in parts just to rebuild.
So I'm considering swapping the input shaft and front mount plate onto a nice used LS1 T56. Anything else I need to change? I can't think of anything else.

thanks

Someone did this to the LT1 t56 i just bought. It looks like they used those two parts, the slave, and the bellhousing. That's it. Trying to find LT1 T56 parts like a front plate is becoming a mother.
