Ok a few night back i took the car to the track.I lost 3-4 gears completely. So i wanted to get my car inspected before it goes down for a few weeks and drove it to work. As soon as i got on the highway bam 3rd kicked in and 4th then locked up like normal.i did get on it a little to see what it would hold and did start shuddering like it was slipping. So my question is what is causing my problem..almost seems like maybe a checkbal oor valve was stuck and free'd up. I plan to tear it apart next week and go through it but where are the likely suspects for this issue? by the way its always seemed a little doggy 3rd and fourth but never slipped till now.

Well i know the 3-4th clutches are shot but what might be the cause of a random 3-4 gear shift. On my way home, the car would randomly shift into 3rd and fourth..either it would shift out of 2nd or it wouldnt.im guessing some trash is partially blocking something and coming loose.
