4l60e Install help...

Guys I really need some help. I reinstalled my transmission... And now I have the torque converter and transmission oil pan leaking.. Im pretty frustrated. The guys at our local car store said I dont need any sealant on the pan.. Guys help me out.. This is really frustrating... Please help me...

You sure its not just the front pump seal leaking ? Did you reuse the old one ?

Front pump seal? Is that the metal little ring that snaps onto the transmission, before you put the tc on? If thats it yes... I did. I was told by someone who I thought they knew what they were talking about, that I didnt need to replace it. Is that the problem you think?

Yes that seal needs to be replaced . When that seal leaks it will make it look like
the pan is leaking along with the converter . Ask me how I know Replace that
seal asap . And yes its the seal under the metal ring on the front pump shaft .

Would you happen to have a picture? I don't have the tranny out right now. I remember snappin a metal ring on.. The seal is under that, how do I replace it? Never dont this before sorry.

Sorry dont have a pic . Just pull the metal ring off and the seal just pulls
out right underneath it . When you put a new one on is pretty straight forward
how it goes on . Just make sure it goes in evenly and fully seats . Then put
the snap ring back on over it

alright cool. Parts stores should have the ring? What exactly is it called? Also the metal ring was a little bent, and i kinda bended it back straight. Is the metal ring something that should be replaced too? Thanks for the help.. I was really getting frustrated. I need my car!
