look what happend to my 10-bolt!

I was changing my rear end gear to 3.73 today and I discovered that one of the c-clips came loose and shreaded my spider gears..

the ring, pinion and axles had no damage. crazy...

you didn't have any noise coming from the rear end?

none. Whined very very faintly, but I thought that was normal. It did clunk when I put the car in drive, but I just thought it was worn out u-joints.

Car pulled very strong.

Nice one,.....I too am shocked that didnt grenade everything in there. Without the clip,....the first turn in the opposite direction your axle starts to walk out until it eventually flops out (not fun and very dangerous). You're lucky!
