Lockup or no lockup stall converter???

I have 1994 z28 camaro I can installing a cc306 cam. I am looking for a stall I would still like to drive the car around a little bit. What kind of stall would you guys recommend? What would be the difference between the two? And what would be a good stall speed thanks!

You need to have a lock-up converter or the car will throw codes, plus if you have it lock up at WOT you can gain a little power there. Get a good one, cheap converters are usually just restalled factory ones. With that cam I would look at at least 3200, more if it's going to be a track car. Precision industries Vigilante is a great choice.

Non lockup converter in and overdrive trans is a waste , Overdrive may as well not be there.

Yoy definately want a lock-up converter. A vig converter is a little under rated so watch what stall you chose. Something along the lines of a 3200 Vig. or a Yank SS3600 would be a safe choice. Even something a little higher is ok too, if you don't have plans for nitrous down the road.

You need to keep lockup, it's stupid not to. I'd say at least a Vig 3200 which is closer to a 3500-3600 flash stall. The Vig 3200 will act similar to stock, but falsh better and hold more power.
